Ermicciolo (Vivo d'Orcia)

("Ermicciolo")

A short steep slope leads to a Romanesque small church (with XIX° century restoration) recorded since the XIII° century. The facade and the apse column decorations are remarkable, as well as the church location, in the middle of a beautiful chestnut wood. The Ermicciolo is Cervini's family vault. Not far away, there are two chestnut gathering  rooms ("seccatoi") very well preserved.
